What stays on your device
Local trip drafts and preferences stay on your device unless you explicitly save a plan to your signed-in account. Account-backed plans, family travellers, booking records and membership credit are stored on the Pals backend. Clear device data in Preferences; use your account to manage saved information.
What you send to Pals
Travel searches send airports, dates and traveller counts to Pals and the relevant supplier, including Duffel and Viator. Google sign-in shares your basic profile and email with Supabase authentication. Family and booking details you submit are stored encrypted on our backend. Payment card details belong in the supplier’s secure form; never send an airline or Uber password to Pals.
Hosting and service providers
Vercel hosts Pals, Supabase stores account and encrypted travel records, and travel suppliers process their service requests. OpenStreetMap supplies community listings and GeoNames supplies city centres. AI research uses Vercel AI Gateway and OpenAI to rank public listings by destination, trip length and your chosen preference. We do not send your name, email, passport, payment details or supplier tokens to the AI. Hosting services process technical request data; hashed request identifiers help limit abuse.
Your choices
You can browse and search without creating an account. Saving a quote is optional. Clear local plans, snapshots, and preferences in Preferences or through your browser settings.
Research and prices
AI rankings are suggestions based on sourced listings. Public research results are cached briefly and stored with an identifier and usage counts for diagnosis. Flight and hotel prices come from supplier responses, have a check time, and must be refreshed before booking. Community listings do not establish prices, opening hours or reservation availability.
